The man who allegedly killed Atlanta rapper Slim Dunkin during a shootout in the recording studio has turned himself to police today. According to sources, the shooter is identified as being Vinson Hardimon, 28-year-old who is also known as Young Vito. He is being held at the Fulton County jail in charges of murder and gun possession. We previously reported that Slim Dunkin was killed over a shot in his chest on December 16 after a fight that started over a piece of candy, according to police reports. Investigators now believe that Hardimon was the man who started the fight with late Dunkin and eventually pulled out the gun and shot him to death. Atlanta police homicide Detective David Quinn told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday that he got a call from his (shooter’s) attorney. He wished to turn himself over to police. Hardimon’s attorney brought him to Atlanta Police headquarters from where he was taken to the Fulton jail.
