C-Murder, real named Corey Miller, was recently convicted of shooting a teenager in 2002. The teenager died in the shooting and he was sentenced to life in jail. However, a Louisiana appeals court has upheld the murder conviction and life sentence for him. The three-judge panel from the state’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeal rejected the argument from the rapper saying that he didn’t get a fair trail. The rapper was convicted of second-degree murder by a jury in 2009. The murder took place at a nightclub and the victim was 16-year-old named Steve Thomas. Miller in his appeal claimed that the prosecutor systematically eliminated black people from the jury.
